Barnes Family Garden
This project will transform a substantial residential plot into a three-zone sanctuary that balances romantic, lush aesthetics with high-functioning utility. The journey begins with a smart, structured front garden where climbing wisteria and soft, layered perennial planting frame the family home while discreetly accommodating practical requirements.
Moving deeper into the site, the mid-garden evolves into an immersive entertaining hub, featuring natural stone terraces, a bespoke reading nook, and sumptuously planted borders. The transition to the rear reveals a productive haven, where a small wildflower meadow and espalier fruit trees surround raised vegetable beds and a secluded gym and sauna.
High-canopy trees are strategically integrated throughout the scheme to provide both architectural height and privacy, ensuring the garden remains a tranquil, multi-layered retreat. At its heart, the design strives to establish a classic-contemporary garden that blends a love for Cotswold-inspired, romantic planting with a sophisticated multi-zoned layout.
